I finished my student teaching and am jsut hanging out taking a few more classes till june. then i'm sure it will be back to drum corps w/ brass. then GET A JOB!!!!! an less this whole rock stardom thing takes off first..... so my fingers are still crossed..... i'll bee looking for a band job. oh yea! hit it up | | |
| Rock and roll So this new band I’m playing with Ride recorded our demo last night… man,, nothing like recording to make you realize how bad you suck… I need to practice. Oh well. Time to figure out how to make electronic music

| So I cut my hair…. Little punk rock flying seagull’s style…. Its was rocker then I just now cut it back to normal…. Got a few new licks and notes in the brass show, which is always fun kind of wish, I had more…. Apparently I can’t play our warm up book though…hummm so the brass show may be the best designed show in a while…. But the individual accountability seems to be the lowest of when I have been there… kind of weird. Just got my trip planed to go out the west coast for some lessons with my mentor Michel Spiro. Should be badass. Dose any one remember when MNBrass used to be for people who loved drum corps but also wanted to have a life…. What’s with this every weekend of the summer thing… ha-ha oh well.
Oh drum set camp last week rocked we had 2 sweet clinicians… Gordy Kanutsen who playes with the Steve miller band for like the last 220 years. And Sean Pelton who records with every one such as the latest Kelly Clarkson tune, plays in the SNL band, and just got back from tour with Sheryl Crow… they were bad asses and hung out afterwards… right on chillen with rock stars… good training. Summers getting close… one more week of drum set camp. Week off, then drumline camp, band camp, week in san fran, different bandd camp, then back to school after brass finals… humm

| so what if I never up date? Holy long weekend of brass. I felt like I was on tour. Actually I would have rather been on tour. 4-hour block of rehearsal a day and practically a 4-hour block of driving to those rehearsals a day. It was fun to watch the corps improve so much in a 5-day span. I had three rehearsals and I was in, setting a new record for my self, usually it takes me 5 to get in the show after I get back from school. Needless to say playing these Rack parts are a little easier than the massive keyboard parts I have had in the past, and the drill learning. Not ganna lie I’m board as hell standing there playing bass drum impacts, but you gatta love hanging with drum corps. But rumor has I will get some licks and keyboard parts soon as things get dumped and watered down. Another rumor is that Amanda wont be back next year?? Maybe?? Maybe I can fulfill my life long dream of being drum major because I will actually be in the cities. But I’m guessing she will stay on. It’s the 60th come on. Back to the lake. More fun in the sun

| All right I’m finally back home in MN. As usual my schedule is pretty much filled up already. Last night I had band practice with PJ and James guys I played with in High school. We still have the magic of rock music. And all still have the dream of making it big. So we will see where this goes. They have a couple good tunes so I’m pumped, look for me on MTV soon…..right. Going to MN brass tonight to see what kind of part I have. And see all my friends. I miss drum corps. I cant wait being home is great moving sucks I have done so much laundry and just putting crap away it sucks.
I turned 23 last Saturday. And lets just say it was an experience. And thank god I woke up in time to conduct graduation band for commencement on Sunday…. It was a close one.
That’s all for now. But now I will update being that I don’t really do any thing.
Peace
